I blame it on my parents as since I was small I loved Thomas the tank engine and they bought me thomas and friends trains. I then progressed to a Brio train set. As I got older my parents then took me to North Wales where we rode all the steam train attractions. Once I had done this I was hooked. I orginally had a OO Gauge layout but decided it was too big and hence I choose to go to a N Gauge layout. I have funded the Foxhollow layout all by myself and with a little help from my dad to build it.

I have always liked trains and once I had a son I thought it would be a good chance to get more involved with seeing and riding trains. I was elated once my son Simon decided he wanted to have a go at building his own layout. "Great" here's my time to get involved and enjoy the experience. I have built all the buildings and help design the mountain area of the layout.

I'm a very good friend of Simon's and would love to have my own layout but unfortunately I don't have the room. I have my own collection of rolling stock and Simon lets me use his layout to run them. I have a active role in the exhibitions as chief runaround to help assemble the layout and run it with Simon.
